What it is: Product page on a daily indie launch feed with upvotes, reviews and a Hack of the Day pick. Indie makers and early adopters browse new side projects and free tools.

Cost: Free; no paid tier, upsell or checkout anywhere in the flow.

Account: email+password. Effort: about 3 minutes.

Link to your site: followed. Two links to your product carry rel="noopener" only, both with ?ref=hackstack appended.

Review and publication: No review queue. The product page returns 200 logged out the minute it is submitted and appears in the homepage feed at once, with the published date shown.

Have ready

  • Registration: Name, E-Mail Address, Password, Confirm Password; signed in immediately, no verification
  • Product Name (required, max 40 chars; must be your product's own name, not SEO keywords, or the account is banned)
  • Website URL (required; enter it without a trailing slash, the site appends /?ref=hackstack)
  • Tagline (required, max 60 chars)
  • Description (rich text, minimum 250 words, maximum 500 words, counter shown)
  • Featured Image (required, 1240x780 recommended, 16:9; used as the first gallery slide and thumbnail)
  • Product Logo (optional, square 512x512; initials are used otherwise)
  • Gallery screenshots (required, 1 to 10)
  • Video (optional YouTube URL)
  • Categories (multi-select checkboxes)
  • Ownership radio: 'I do not own this hack or product' or 'A company I work for or myself owns this product'

Steps

  1. Register at https://thehackstack.com/register with your name, email and password; you are signed in at once.
  2. Open https://thehackstack.com/add-product and fill in the name (max 40 chars), website URL without a trailing slash, tagline (max 60 chars) and a 250 to 500 word description.
  3. Upload the featured 1240x780 image, the logo and at least one gallery screenshot, tick the categories and choose the ownership option.
